Schedule: Full-Time; rotating weekends
Local Candidates Required: Yes (Mandatory requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of the facility due to on-call response requirements)

Pay Rate

• Salary Range: $39.57 – $53.34/hr (based on years of experience; 17+ years required for top of band)

• Sign-On Bonus: Case-by-case basis

• Relocation Assistance: None specified

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida or valid Multi-State Compact license

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Minimum 2 years of acute care Trauma Operating Room experience required

• MUST have dedicated Trauma OR experience in an acute care setting

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required (or obtained within 30 days of hire)

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required (or obtained within 30 days of hire)

• Demonstrated clinical competency in intraoperative trauma interventions, emergency room turnover, and surgical instrumentation handling

Responsibilities

• Assume clinical accountability for surgical trauma patients throughout the perioperative phase utilizing the standard nursing process

• Coordinate and execute intraoperative nursing care during urgent, emergent, and complex trauma surgical procedures

• Maintain strict aseptic technique, control the surgical environment, and monitor sterile field integrity

• Collaborate closely with trauma surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and critical care teams to ensure rapid patient stabilization

• Monitor patient vital signs, fluid status, and intraoperative responses, intervening promptly during acute clinical changes

• Accurately document all intraoperative assessments, surgical counts, medication administration, and specimen handling in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

• Facility Size: 417 Beds (Verified Level I Adult & Pediatric Trauma Center, Verified Burn Center, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center)

• Department Scope: High-acuity Trauma Operating Room handling emergent adult and pediatric surgical cases

• On-Call Requirement: Mandatory call rotation with a strict 30-minute radius/response limit
