Key Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and comprehensive nursing care.
Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders.
Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans during hospitalization and at discharge, and informs them of hospital procedures.
Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Required Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
Preferred Experience / Skills

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board-approved program.
Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques effectively.
Proficiency with computer systems used in a clinical setting.
