Job Summary

\n

Under the direction of the provider, the APRN/PA is responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routine examinations to ensure patient health. Their duties include speaking with their patients about healthy lifestyle choices for their age, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain updated medical records. This a float position requiring candidates to rotate between locations.

\n

Essential Job Functions

\n

Treat adults who have illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and general concerns in accordance with standards of care

\n

Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results adhering to HIPAA regulations

\n

Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, and disease.

\n

Examine patients or order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical condition and determine diagnosis.

\n

Advise patients, and community members concerning diet, activity hygiene, and disease prevention.

\n

Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.

\n

Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.

\n

Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.

\n

Perform in-clinic procedures on patients to remove, repair, or improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.

\n

Conduct research to study anatomy and develop or test medications, treatments, or procedures to prevent or control disease or injury.

\n

Spend 100% of your time clinically focused on direct patient care, inclusive of patient facing time and general administrative time (charting, meetings, etc.) as it relates to direct patient care.

\n

Required Qualifications:

\n

Master of Science in Nursing (NP or PA) from an accredited nurse practitioner program.

\n

Board Certification from an accredited board

\n

Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in State of Florida

\n

Two or more years of adult medicine experience as an NP or PA

\n

BLS (AHA or Red Cross)

\n

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

\n

Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communications with colleagues/patients

\n

Willingness and ability to learn/adapt to practice in a value-based care setting

\n

Superior patient/customer service

\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

Autonomous APRN license in Florida 

\n

DEA Certification or able to obtain

\n

ACLS (AHA or Red Cross)

\n

Fluent in Spanish (Read, Write, Speak)

\n

Experience managing commercial insurance and Medicare Advantage patients
