Amplify Voices and Reclaim Connections in the Vibrant Heart of Arizona – Become Our Speech Language Pathologist
Your Next Chapter Awaits
What if your next professional journey allowed you to give voice to countless individuals seeking to express themselves? As a Speech Language Pathologist in the exhilarating environment of Glendale, Arizona, your expertise will not only address communication and swallowing disorders but will also empower individuals to unlock their full potential, rebuild confidence, and foster meaningful connections — from the excitement of toddlers forming their first sentences to the determination of seniors striving for independence.
This unique role allows you to impact a diverse range of age groups in a setting where outpatient therapy meets occasional inpatient services. Whether your passion lies in nurturing young learners, supporting adults with neurogenic challenges, or offering rehabilitative aid to the elderly, you will find an enriching and flexible environment that encourages professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans focused on both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that emphasize aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate across disciplines, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to foster comprehensive care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families on how to continue progress outside the therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the patient journey.
- Keep up with precise and timely documentation, adhering to relevant state, federal, and organizational mandates.
- Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with evidence-based treatments applicable to various age groups, alongside a robust understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, effectively engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adeptness at modifying therapy techniques to cater to varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary that reflects your expertise and experience.
- Flexible scheduling options to balance work-life needs and diverse caseloads.
- Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
- Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
- Reimbursement for continuing education and support for professional development.
- A collegial, team-oriented workplace that prioritizes quality care and ongoing learning.
A Journey of Healing and Connection Awaits
In this pivotal role, you will do more than provide speech therapy — you will become part of an inspiring community effort to restore voices, enhance communication, and create joy through fundamental human connections such as understanding and being understood.
Your colleagues will cherish collaborative relationships, treating one another like family within an environment that celebrates teamwork over rivalry. Every patient has a narrative; we trust you to help shape how it unfolds.
