Job Summary:

Responsible for providing drink service in the outlet while ensuring guests are properly served and ensuring all policies and procedures regarding alcohol dispensing are followed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain all special promotions.
• Take orders, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested, requires memorization of all available drinks.
• Input orders into point-of-sale system to inform bartender an order was placed.
• Replenish beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guests to inquire about satisfaction.
• Deliver beverages accurately to patrons while ensuring proper payment.
• Check and maintain proper setup and cleanliness of service station before, during and after shift.
• Always maintain cleanliness of guest areas including removing empty glasses/bottles and cleaning ashtrays.
• Confirm age compliance by checking the identification of any individual ordering alcoholic beverages.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions.
• Basic math skills specific to position responsibilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to obtain a Wyoming Gaming Commission work permit.

Education and Experience:

• Highschool diploma or GED
• Able certification
• One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Wyoming Horse Racing offers paid time off, health, dental and vision insurance. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen. Starting pay $9.00/hour.
