Join Our Maintenance Team

Olentangy Village is looking for a dependable, hands on Maintenance Technician who takes pride in fixing things the right way and being part of a team. Every day is different, from resident service requests and apartment turns to preventive maintenance and property projects. We need someone who communicates, stays organized, follows through, and wants to help build a team residents and coworkers can count on.

What You Will Do

Complete apartment service requests and communicate professionally with residents about the work being performed.

Troubleshoot and complete general plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, drywall, painting, HVAC, and building repairs based on your experience and training.

Prepare apartment homes for new residents and assist with inspections, preventive maintenance, seasonal work, and property projects.

Help care for our buildings, grounds, common areas, garages, shops, work vehicles, tools, and storage areas.

Document completed work, materials used, and follow up needs, and communicate early when additional parts or support are needed.

What We Are Looking For

Apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or related hands on repair experience is preferred.

Practical knowledge of common maintenance tools and several areas of apartment or building repair.

Your own basic hand tools for day to day maintenance work. Larger and specialty equipment is provided by the property.

A dependable, organized, team focused approach with the ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, follow direction, and ask for help when needed.

Professional communication, good documentation habits, and respect when working inside residents' homes.

Schedule and On Call

This is a full time, 40 hour position with shifts assigned according to property needs.

Technicians share a rotating after hours on call schedule, and an on call stipend is provided.

Apartment maintenance occasionally requires flexibility for urgent situations, severe weather, and our busiest turn periods. These expectations will be reviewed during the interview process.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands on position requiring regular walking, standing, climbing, bending, reaching, working in narrow spaces, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions.
