This position will be located on site in Oklahoma City, OK or Melbourne, FL.In this role you will design, develop, integrate and test software for our end-user customers and businesses. Specifically, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, application development, and flight simulation. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test, in an Agile software development environment. Our simulation software is critical to the current and future company projects. You will analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.Essential Functions:Work in an innovative environment, on significantly diverse assignments, and in collaborative team settings across all levelsParticipate in the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products to our customersArchitect and develop applications in a simulated training environmentBe a part of Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselinesThe individual we seek will be self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented to help us grow our services, become even better at what we do and will possess the following qualifications.This requisition may be filled at either a Software Engineer level 2 or a Principal Software Engineer level 3Basic Qualifications:Level 2: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience in software engineering OR a Master's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 0 years of experience in software engineeringLevel 3: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience in software engineering; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related experience in software engineering; OR PhD with 1 year of related experience in software engineeringExperience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deploymentExperience with at least one of the following programming or scripting languages: C, C++, and PythonExperience with two or more of the following tools: Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Fortify, or CoverityMust have an active U.S. Government Secret clearanceMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.Preferred Qualifications:Strong understanding of C and C++ languages including templates, memory storage, and compiler/linkerExperience with or knowledge of Joint Simulation Environment (JSE), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), or High-Level Architecture (HLA)Experience with Full-Motion Flight Training SystemsExperience with simulated threat environments such as AFSIM or NGTSAbility to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systemsPrimary Level Salary Range: $75,100.00 - $118,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $147,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
