Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Mission Engineer to support SDA’s mission. Mission Engineers support the Mission Engineering Lead in efforts to translate Warfighter needs/requests into CONOPS, OPSCON, Use Case, etc. to define the integrated capabilities the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) delivers to the Warfighter. Responsibilities Engage with the Warfigther Integration Cell (WIC) and Warfighters and other organizations to define specific mission sets and how the PWSA implements and executes them Support the Technical Director and Front Office in external engagement Support development of CONOPS, OPSCON, use cases, and modeling and simulation capabilities to represent the appropriate mission cases Performs trade studies and develops courses of action for PWSA capabilities and requirements Works with the Requirements Lead to perform functional analysis to create requirements for the Enterprise and for Technical Requirements Documents in support of solicitation development Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline 10+ years experience Understanding of satellite acquisition and operations technology best practices Familiarity with MBSE desired for representation of mission capabilities Strong written and oral communications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment TS/SCI Eligibility; #qinetiqclearedjob Accessibility/Accommodation If because of a medical condition or disability you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please send an e-mail to View email address on click.appcast.io or call View phone number on click.appcast.io Opt. 1 and let us know the nature of your request and contact information.
