Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose various mental health disorders, utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based practices, ensuring that every patient's unique preferences and needs are considered.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, continually monitoring their efficacy and adjusting dosages as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to the specific needs of your clients.
• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals to coordinate patient care and create a holistic treatment experience that fully addresses clients’ psychological, social, and biological needs.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care practices to foster understanding and support throughout the treatment journey.
• Document and monitor patient progress meticulously, ensuring that treatment plans are adjusted based on clinical observations and patient feedback.
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences, contributing your insights to enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards while adhering to best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PMHNP at MindWell, you will primarily serve adult and adolescent populations struggling with a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and mood disorders. Your empathetic approach will facilitate an environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and challenges, ultimately leading to more effective treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• A valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with a patient-centered approach.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting is highly valued. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a history of collaboration within interdisciplinary teams will set you apart as a candidate.

Compensation and Benefits
