Responsibilities
- Deliver family-centered, evidence-based emergency nursing care using the nursing process; develop and implement care plans with attention to patient and family preferences, values, and needs.
- Communicate and advocate for patient and family goals as part of the interdisciplinary team; coordinate care across transitions and provide developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive education.
- Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams; support shared decision-making and apply practices that minimize risks during handoffs and transitions of care.
- Integrate best available evidence with clinical expertise and patient/family preferences; participate in quality improvement activities and identify opportunities to revise policies or practice guidelines as appropriate.
- Ensure safety through adherence to policies and procedures; recognize and report unsafe conditions and participate in routine documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in Colorado
- Bachelor’s Degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association with at least 3 months remaining before expiration on hire
- Ability to work in a hospital emergency department environment
- Additional demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within an inter-professional care team
