Golf Shop Merchandise Assistant!

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. The ideal candidate is outgoing, professional, organized, and passionate about providing an outstanding member experience. The successful candidate will assist with merchandise receiving, presentation, inventory, special orders, and Golf Shop events while working closely with the Lead Merchandiser and Director of Retail. Essential Responsibilities:

Greet and warmly welcome club members and guests as they enter the Golf Shop.

Provide exceptional customer service and assist members and guests with merchandise selections, product questions, and general Golf Shop needs.

Assist with receiving, checking in, steaming, tagging, ticketing, and displaying merchandise. Maintain an attractive, organized, and well-stocked Golf Shop by replenishing merchandise and maintaining proper product presentation.

Monitor and maintain the fitting rooms, stockrooms, and other designated storage areas.

Assist with merchandise displays, seasonal changes, and maintaining visual presentation standards.

Process and follow up on special orders, ensuring accurate information and timely communication.

Assist with trunk shows, fashion shows, member events, and other Golf Shop activities.

Assist with monthly, seasonal, and annual inventory counts.

Answer telephone calls and provide administrative and clerical support to the Golf Shop and Golf staff as needed.

Assist with maintaining accurate merchandise and inventory records.

Communicate merchandise needs, inventory concerns, and member requests to the Lead Merchandiser and Director of Retail.

Work closely with the Lead Merchandiser and Director of Retail to support the overall operation and success of the Golf Shop.

Maintain a professional appearance and a friendly, positive, and outgoing demeanor at all times.

Follow all company and club policies, procedures, and standards.

Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Perform additional duties as assigned to support Golf Shop and overall club operations. Qualifications: Required: Minimum of three (3) years of merchandise, retail, or related customer service experience.

Strong member-service and customer-service skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Professional appearance and a friendly, outgoing personality.

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use retail and inventory systems.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Knowledge of the game of golf. Preferred: Previous experience working in a golf shop, country club, golf club, resort, or hospitality environment.

Experience with golf apparel, accessories, equipment, and other golf-related merchandise.

Experience with inventory management, merchandise receiving, and retail point-of-sale systems. Previous experience assisting with trunk shows, fashion shows, or retail events. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.

Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise, boxes, and supplies as needed.

Ability to safely receive, move, organize, and store merchandise. Ability to work in a retail environment and move throughout the Golf Shop and stockroom as needed. Schedule

: This is a full-time seasonal position from October through April. The position requires a flexible schedule, including availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs and the Golf Shop's schedule. Compensation: $17 – $19 per hour, depending on experience.
