Merck Animal Health seeks a GMP Analytical Scientist to support pharmaceutical development in a New Jersey R&D facility. The role involves method validation, testing of APIs and drug products, and collaboration with project leads to advance candidates through development stages.

Responsibilities

Execute GMP method validation for APIs, excipients, and formulated drug products
Support pilot manufacturing testing of materials and cleaning samples
Collaborate with R&D leads on project needs and timelines
Maintain documentation, analyze data, and prepare technical reports
Develop analytical methods for high-priority drug candidates

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related scientific discipline
Minimum 1 year pharmaceutical industry experience
Strong analytical laboratory techniques and technical skills
GMP environment experience and understanding of GMP processes and SOPs
Ability to work under laboratory supervisor direction
Proficiency in chromatography, dissolution, or physical characterization methods

Compensation: $87,300-$137,400 base
