Release Train Engineer

Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Release Train Engineer (RTE) to own and guide 8 scrum teams within a $13 million portfolio at a Fortune 500 company in the Financial Services sector. The role is contract-to-hire based in Fort Mill, SC, with a hybrid workplace model. Key Responsibilities Own, manage, and coach multiple scrum teams, ensuring delivery of quality software and solutions. Conduct Scrum of Scrum or SAFe ART processes and ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) Planning events for release trains. Facilitate teams in defining and upholding Working Agreements, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done. Identify, remove, andEscalate impediments, recommending resolution strategies and influencing leadership to act. Lead retrospectives, track metrics, and foster a safe, trusting environment for continuous improvement. Collaborate with Product Managers, Solutions Managers, and stakeholders to meet all team and stakeholder needs. Maintain process excellence, best practices, and adherence across multiple trains and teams in the domain. Create and maintain information radiators (burn-down charts, velocity charts, dashboards) and demos to enhance transparency. Support Product and Program Managers with communication materials for senior leadership, ensuring clarity and visual appeal. Own delivery against deals and program milestones. Required Experience & Skills Senior RTE experience at a Fortune 500 company, preferably in Financial Services. Strong proficiency with Jira and Agile/Scrum practices. Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Ability to navigate complex environments and manage diverse personalities. Understanding of SDLC, technical language, and ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders. Familiarity with Python and Angular teams (specific technology knowledge not required). Fast‑paced, results‑driven mindset.
