Supply Chain Director

A leading global manufacturer serving advanced technology and precision-engineered industries is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead regional supply chain operations across multiple manufacturing sites. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving supply continuity, customer delivery performance, supplier management, material readiness, cost optimization, and supply chain resilience in a dynamic, high-growth manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will serve as a key customer-facing supply chain leader while partnering closely with operations, engineering, quality, program management, and executive leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Leadership Lead and develop a high-performing regional supply chain organization. Drive execution across sourcing, procurement, planning, supplier management, and customer supply chain functions. Establish operational cadence, performance metrics, and accountability across the organization. Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management teams. Customer-Facing Supply Chain Management Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding material readiness, supply constraints, delivery performance, and recovery plans. Translate supplier capacity limitations and material challenges into clear, actionable customer communication. Drive resolution of supply chain escalations and critical delivery issues. Ensure alignment between customer requirements, production schedules, and supplier commitments. Supplier Performance & Strategic Sourcing Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance. Drive supplier delivery, quality, capacity, and responsiveness. Lead supplier reviews, corrective actions, and recovery initiatives. Develop sourcing strategies that increase resiliency and reduce risk. Implement dual-source and business continuity initiatives. Operational Excellence Drive cost reduction, supplier productivity, and commercial improvements. Partner with Engineering and Quality teams on product changes, supplier qualifications, audits, and continuous improvement programs. Support new product introductions, production ramps, and facility expansions. Risk Management & Supply Chain Resilience Identify and mitigate risks related to supply continuity, logistics, capacity, and geopolitical exposure. Develop strategies that strengthen continuity of supply and overall network resiliency. ERP Systems & Data Integrity Ensure procurement and sourcing data integrity. Drive ERP accuracy for supplier commitments, lead times, pricing, and planning parameters. Utilize data and reporting to support decision-making and operational performance. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related discipline. 15+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience. Experience supporting high-precision manufacturing or highly engineered products. Proven ability to lead customer-facing supply chain functions. Experience managing complex supplier networks and global sourcing operations. Strong leadership experience managing teams across multiple sites and regions. Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with ERP systems and supply chain analytics. Preferred MBA or Master's degree. Experience supporting semiconductor, electronics, precision machining, industrial equipment, aerospace, medical device, or similarly complex manufacturing environments. Experience with Oracle, SAP, or comparable ERP platforms. Background leading supply chain organizations through rapid growth, demand volatility, and operational transformation.
