TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Bowling Green, Kentucky, 42104!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Critical thinking skills Self-motivated Description: The ICU unit has 16 beds. Patient ratios are typically 2:1, with some shifts requiring a 3:1 ratio. There is a mix of unit secretaries and techs available for support, depending on census. The unit is equipped with Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. The documentation system is Meditech. Staff is required to work 36 hours weekly. There is a floating policy in rotation with core staffing. Candidates should possess critical thinking skills and demonstrate self-motivation. Advanced skills include central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions. Dress code requires scrubs of any color; denim, capris, or camo are not allowed. Available policies and guidelines are available upon request. The department participates in community initiatives, such as making blankets for hospice patients. Recognition awards include the Daisy Award for critical care nursing excellence. The environment emphasizes teamwork and flexibility with scheduling. Staff experience ranges across both day and night shifts.
