Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele travel assignment in Newport, Vermont. Start date: 08/31/2026. 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients as a registered nurse
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vitals, adjust care plans, and administer medications and IV therapies
• Document accurately in the medical record and communicate changes to the care team
• Act as charge nurse when assigned, coordinating patient flow, assignments, and unit operations
• Float to other units as needed to support staffing needs while maintaining competency
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case management, and family members to ensure safe discharge planning and continuity of care

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Vermont (or eligibility to obtain)
• Minimum ability to work the 7p–7a night shift with every-other-weekend rotations
• Relevant experience in Med-Surg/Tele or PCU settings; ability to float to other units as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and ability to work independently in a hospital setting
• Education: graduate from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure
