Registered Nurse - Psychiatry/Behavioral and Mental Health Location Columbus, OH Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Job Description Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult patients dealing with mental health and addiction issues. Responsibilities Conduct shift assessments, respond to code blues, and manage admissions and discharges. Administer medications, both emergency and regular, while ensuring compliance with patient care protocols. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for accurate documentation of patient interactions and care plans. Maintain effective communication with team members, fostering a collaborative working environment. Implement de-escalation techniques when needed and manage patient crises appropriately. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must possess an Associate's degree in Nursing. Current BLS and Handle With Care (HWC) certifications required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting. Proficiency in handling the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) and the Clinical Opioid Withdrawal Scale (COWS).
