Job Title: Applications Development Expert (Onsite)

Location: Pikesville, MD

Duration: 12+ Months (Long term)

Job Description:

The Applications Development Expert works with the Architect to provide automated systems applications to the Client internal and external customers. This individual will be viewed as a technical expert and critical technical resource in the development of project deliverables.

His/her responsibilities include performing the following tasks:

• Developing enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features.
• Developing complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes in concert with a project team.
• Assisting in the resolution of difficult support problems.
• Understanding and applying current application development methodologies consistently.
• Acting as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor and change agent.

Education:

• This position requires a bachelor s in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

General Experience:

• The resource must have at least seven (7) years of IT software systems development experience using AngularJS, a minimum of five (5) of which must be in the public safety sector.
• The position must have in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and object-oriented approach in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs.
• A strong understanding of Microsoft SQL database structures and SQL Reporting Services is desired.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with Maryland s regulated firearm and handgun permitting laws preferred.
