Job Title: RN - Surgical Inpatient Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting, level 1, 200+ beds License: Active RN License in North Dakota or Compact State License Certifications: Active BLS Certification (must be AHA) Must-Have: Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting Active RN License in North Dakota or Compact State Active BLS Certification (must be AHA) Willingness and ability to float to any medical surgical unit across locations if needed Travel experience Experience working in a busy level one trauma center EPIC experience Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in a surgical inpatient setting. The nurse will be responsible for inpatient electronic documentation and assessments. Skills in education and various nursing skills will be utilized regularly. The equipment used will include EPIC software, Compueter Chart, and AcuDose. Patient care involves adult trauma, medical, and surgical patients with diverse medical needs. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:4-5 for days and 1:5-6 for nights. All clinicians must badge in and out while on the facility. Scrub color required is navy blue. The schedule will include 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday responsibilities. Travelers can self-schedule, with guaranteed days off as per contract. Floating to other units may be required based on unit needs. Collaboration with fellow staff for schedule adjustment is encouraged. The team focuses on providing care for trauma and orthopedic trauma patients.
