Austin Ridge Bible Church is a thriving, multi-site church in the rapidly growing Austin, Texas area. We are seeking a Communications Director who is passionate about helping ministries effectively promote and communicate the gospel in ministry environments. The Communications Director provides strategic leadership for all messaging, branding, and creative execution across campuses. This role ensures clarity, consistency, and alignment with the church’s mission while equipping ministries and campuses with effective communication tools. This is an exciting opportunity to join a healthy, collaborative staff and a growing church, using your gifts to help us communicate clearly and connect people to what God is doing.AUSTIN RIDGE BIBLE CHURCH PURPOSE: Pursuing people at all costs so they will know Jesus, grow in Him, and serve Him daily.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategic & Brand LeadershipDevelops and leads a church-wide communications strategy precisely aligned with leadership’s vision and established ministry calendarMaintains the church’s distinctive brand (voice, tone, theology, visual identity)Ensures communications consistency across all campuses while allowing for contextual flexibility for individual campusesCollaborates closely with Lead Staff and the Executive PastorShapes messaging around sermon series, initiatives, the Next campaign, and major eventsCampus Alignment & SystemsCreates centralized communication systems that serve multiple campusesBuilds and maintains repeatable workflows for events and ministry promotionsSupports ministries in event planning by developing specific communication strategies for promoting internally to the churchTrains campus staff on communication standards and brand guidelinesProvides templates and resources to maintain consistencyBalances central messaging with campus-specific communication needsContent & Messaging OversightOversees weekend announcement strategy and service communication moments in collaboration with Worship and Production departmentsDirects and maintains website content strategy and updatesOversees email marketing strategy and audience segmentationSupervises social media calendar, voice and engagement strategyEnsures theological clarity and pastoral sensitivity in messagingCreative & Video LeadershipOversees creative development for sermon series branding, stage visuals, print materials, and digital campaignsOversees video storytelling (testimonies, ministry highlights, vision casting)Directs photography standards and visual storytellingManages relationships with external designers, printers, and production partnersInternal CommunicationsImproves staff communication clarity and systemsBuilds and maintains intake and project request processes (Asana)Ensures ministry leaders understand communication timelines and expectationsDevelops crisis communication plansAdvises leadership on public-facing messaging during complex issuesAdministration & BudgetLeads communications staff and volunteersEstablishes workflow processes and project prioritizationCreate timelines for projects and track their statuses, ensuring deadlines are met and ministries are served efficientlyManages communications budgetRecruits, trains, and develops creative team membersAttends weekly ministry staff meetings, all staff meetings, and retreats as requestedCompletes other tasks as assigned by supervisorQUALIFICATIONS:Mature, growing disciple with a consistent devotional lifeExperience and enthusiasm for ministering to the church body and a heart to use their gifts to serve othersCollaborative team leader who prioritizes key objectives while fostering a mutually supportive and encouraging environmentFlexible multi-tasker with little need for supervision in a fast-paced environmentCapable and influencing team leaderHigh-level strategic thinker with strong attention to detailCreative eye with inherent sense of what works artisticallyBrand-disciplined with relational flexibilitySystems builder (not just creative executor)Skilled at balancing speed and excellenceStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenTechnologically proficient and current on software and creative trendsCommitment to and agreement with the statement of faith of Austin Ridge Bible ChurchIt is expected that this person is now or will become an active member of Austin Ridge Bible Church #J-18808-Ljbffr Austin Ridge Bible Church
