Job Title: CNC Machinist - Aerospace Components (3, 4 & 5 Axis)
Location: Kent, WA

Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary:

Join a cutting-edge team of CNC Machinists, NC Programmers, and Technicians shaping the future of spaceflight. You'll operate and maintain world-class 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machinery to produce high-precision aerospace components. This hands-on role emphasizes technical skill, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence on tight-tolerance, high-value parts.

Key Responsibilities:

Setup, operate, and maintain CNC machines including mills and lathes (3, 4, 5-axis & multi-axis)
Perform hands-on programming and machining for aerospace-grade parts
Collaborate with engineering to develop and document machining processes
Interpret blueprints and GD&T to ensure high precision and quality
Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback
Ensure quality control and conformance to engineering specifications
Operate machines such as Mazak, Kuraki, Hermle, DMG Mori, etc.
Utilize CNC controls like Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or Mazatrol
Maintain a safe and inclusive working environment
Use computers to manage setup sheets, documentation, and quality records

Qualifications:

5+ years of CNC machining experience in aerospace or precision industries
Hands-on experience with materials such as Inconel, Monel, Titanium, Copper, Aluminum
Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T (ASME Y14.5M-1994)
Familiar with Mastercam, Unigraphics NX, and CMM operations (a plus)
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required

Preferred:

Tooling and fixture design
VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) experience
Experience with plating, heat treat, EDM, coating, or grinding
Forklift or crane operation skills
