TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Portland, Oregon, 97216!

Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift - 3x12's Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members as well as team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of all associates and patients. Receives all required vaccinations as a condition of employment where applicable. Provides patient monitoring and care during the immediate post-anesthesia period. Care may include primary as well as secondary recovery phases. May provide patient care for overflow patients and specific procedures such as therapeutic or diagnostic blocks for pain control, insertion of epidural or central catheters, or electroconvulsive therapy.
