Site Reliability Engineering Manager
Canonical is seeking a Site Reliability Engineering Manager to lead a high-performance team in a remote environment. This role combines operations management, software engineering, and product development, focusing on delivering quality managed services for over 60 million Ubuntu users. As a leader, you will drive agile devops practices, mentor engineers, and implement structured processes to enhance team performance and meet service level agreements globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead your team in daily agile devops practices.
- Represent the Information Systems team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams.
- Organize, coordinate, and drive internal projects.
- Mentor engineers to improve their skills.
- Identify and measure team health indicators.
- Ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Deliver quality managed services consistently and timely.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software delivery using infrastructure as code.
- Experience managing devops teams for SaaS or similar offerings.
- Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud topologies and technologies.
- Ability to travel twice a year for company events.
