Your future role at a glance Location: Austin, TX Facility: Dell Seton Medical Center-UT Department/Specialty: Operating Room Schedule: Day | Full time 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm, call rotation, holidays assigned on rotation. How you'll make an impact in this role Provide expert perioperative nursing care for high-acuity patients, seamlessly transitioning between scrub and circulator roles to ensure surgical precision and patient safety. Coordinate intraoperative clinical management by monitoring hemodynamics, documenting critical interventions, and facilitating clear communication within the surgical team. Deliver advanced surgical assistance, actively supporting surgeons with hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and specialized patient positioning during complex procedures. Optimize suite readiness and sterile integrity through the meticulous preparation of specialized instrumentation and life-saving equipment for rapid-response trauma cases. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
