IT Director (Hands-On / CTO-Level Role)

We are seeking a hands‑on IT Director to lead and support a growing organization’s technology environment. This role functions at a strategic level (similar to a CTO/CIO) while remaining highly tactical and involved in day‑to‑day execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the full IT environment, including infrastructure, systems, and integrations.
• Lead and support a team of 4–5 IT professionals while remaining hands‑on when needed; develop and execute IT roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with business leaders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify gaps between business goals and system capabilities and proactively recommend solutions; ensure systems (ERP, CRM, phone systems, etc.) are optimized and functioning effectively.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues (networking, hardware, connectivity) as needed; support and maintain compliance (HIPAA environment preferred).
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s in Information Systems or a related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including leadership responsibilities and a strong background across infrastructure, systems, and application environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (highly important).
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically with a “roll up sleeves” mindset.
• Strong communication skills—ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Experience in smaller or mid‑sized company environments preferred.
• Healthcare industry strongly preferred.
• Compensation: Base Salary: ~$165,000–$185,000; Bonus: 10–15%; Total Compensation: Up to ~$200,000.
