Barry’s is the Best Workout in the World™. Founded in West Hollywood in 1998, it’s the original strength and cardio interval fitness experience that provides an immersive, high‑intensity, one‑hour workout that’s as effective as it is fun. Our fitness classes alternate between working out with weights and running on a treadmill. Each day focuses on a different muscle group to achieve real results and to prevent injuries. Our program is designed to tone muscle and maximize fat loss while spiking the metabolism for up to 48 hours following the class. Please be aware that smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of Barry’s studios and corporate offices. About the Role Client Specialists are the first line of contact at all Barry’s studios. They are well-versed in all aspects of the business, comply with company policies, procedures and directives, and are key to developing lasting client relationships through superior hospitality. They assist clients with class selections, bookings, questions; maintain a clean studio; manage FuelBar orders; and facilitate merchandise purchases. What You’ll Do Front Desk Responsibilities Client Experience: Understand hospitality principles, execute Barry’s Client Experience, support clients with studio amenities, and build personalized experiences to positively impact sales and service. Brand Ambassadorship: Warmly welcome clients, assist accordingly, and ensure a memorable experience aligned with the Barry’s brand. Interpersonal Relationships: Develop, sustain, and maintain constructive relationships with clients and staff. Communication: Provide timely information to supervisors and peers via telephone, email, text, or in person. Maintain Clean Atmosphere: Assist in studio cleaning, restocking, and upkeep. Promotions & Membership: Guide clients on promotions, discounts, and special events. Retail Knowledge: Keep product knowledge current, attend training and development programs as directed. Operational Flexibility: Work weekends, holidays, morning or night shifts, and adhere to the work schedule and minimum availability requirements. Fuel Bar Responsibilities Deliver quality protein smoothies and customer service. Handle pre‑orders and on‑spot orders tailored to each client’s needs. Assist clients with questions and product selection. Process POS transactions promptly. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the fuel bar area. Follow safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures per health codes. Rotate merchandise in refrigerated coolers and tables, paying attention to spoilage. Prepare fuel bar goods following company recipes. Facility Maintenance Prepare studio spaces before, during, and after classes: clean equipment, sweep, mop, vacuum, and wipe mirrors. Maintain locker rooms to brand standards as directed. Perform deep cleaning, organization, and servicing of common areas (lobby, FuelBar, Red Room/Lift/Ride spaces, retail shelves, hallways, storage). Conduct small studio repairs when appropriate. Provide laundry services: collect, wash, and fold towels. Follow daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance checklists. Customer Service Provide the highest level of hospitality to all clients. Maintain the client database and use information to increase client contact. Attend community events, invite clients to in‑studio events, and use clienteling tools. Qualifications Strong hospitality skills aligned with Barry’s Mission, Vision and Values. Flexible schedule: full‑time availability minimum 30 hours/week (morning, afternoon, evening, and at least one weekend day) or part‑time minimum 24 hours/week (same availability). Friendly, outgoing personality; enjoys social interaction. Enthusiasm for the studio and the job. Patient, courteous listener who shows empathy. Can‑do attitude when responding to client requests. Team‑oriented, cooperative manner. Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Exceptional cleaning skills and understanding of sanitary standards. Attention to detail and care for studio appearance. Collaborative teamwork with all staff for efficiency and effectiveness. Professional appearance and behavior. Excellent communication skills.
