About the Position

Job Title: RN - OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital OR RN experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital OR RN experience. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Description: The role involves working in a busy operating room with 11 ORs. There are 53 staff members, including 1 charge nurse and 1 tech on the night shift. A trauma team, neuro tech, and heart team are on-call. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1. Experience with Meditech is preferred. Candidates with charge experience and precepting experience will be given priority. Typical procedures performed include general OR surgeries, neuro/spine, cardiovascular thoracic, orthopedic, gynecological, and robotic surgeries. The ideal candidate is flexible, easy-going, and possesses great communication skills. Call requirements consist of 1-2 nights per week and 1-2 weekend call shifts per month. This unit offers an opportunity to work with new equipment and technology, along with a team of experienced staff. Schedule options are available to accommodate personal preferences.
