Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Shift: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM Varied Schedule: Sunday through Saturday Every other Weekend, Every other Holiday Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• AS in nursing required, BS in nursing preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license
• ACLS upon hire OR must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
• AHA PALS within six (6) months of hire
• 3-5 years ED experience preferred
• TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with standards.
• Provide patient and family education based on identified needs and readiness to learn.
• Collaborate on discharge planning incorporating necessary support systems.
• Document all pertinent data and therapeutic interventions timely and accurately.
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely and according to protocols.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatment and interventions.
