Clinician Position

Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a mission-minded associate to join us as a full-time (37.5 per week) Clinician to serve our patients in our Northeast Ohio Region.

Union Status: Bargaining Unit Position

FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt

The Clinician provides compassionate, evidence-based reproductive and sexual healthcare in accordance with their education, licensure, clinical privileges, and PPGOH standards. This position assesses patients, develops individualized care plans, performs examinations and procedures, orders and interprets laboratory testing, prescribes treatment, and ensures appropriate follow-up.

Services may include contraceptive care, STI evaluation and treatment, pregnancy-options counseling, perimenopausal and menopausal care, and pre-abortion and post-abortion care. The Clinician also provides clinical guidance to health center staff, responds to urgent situations, participates in quality improvement, and maintains accurate clinical documentation and coding.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Current national certification as a nurse practitioner.
• Current, valid Ohio registered nurse and advanced practice registered nurse licenses with designation as a Certified Nurse Practitioner, or eligibility to obtain the required Ohio licenses before beginning employment.
• Prescriptive authority consistent with Ohio law and the position's clinical responsibilities.
• Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability and willingness to complete required training and clinical privileging.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and patient-education skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Ability to manage established patient-care and documentation expectations, including seeing approximately three to five patients per hour within six months, based on visit type and clinical complexity.
• Commitment to high-quality, compassionate, and nonjudgmental reproductive healthcare.
• Commitment to Planned Parenthood's mission, values, and service standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing reproductive, sexual, women's, or gender-related healthcare.
• Experience with contraceptive implant or intrauterine contraceptive insertion and removal.
• Experience using an electronic health record and completing clinical coding.
• Fluency in Spanish, Nepali, Somali, or another language needed within the position's service area.
