EHS Coordinator

EHS CoordinatorRelate Search has partnered with a food manufacturing organization in its search for an EHS Coordinator to support environmental, health, and safety programs at its Waukesha, Wisconsin facility. This role will work closely with the EHS Manager, plant supervisors, and employees to support OSHA and EPA compliance, safety training, incident reduction, regulatory inspections, and environmental initiatives. The EHS Coordinator will also help identify workplace hazards, support corrective actions, and maintain documentation and programs designed to promote a safe and compliant work environment.Responsibilities:Support OSHA and EPA compliance requirements by planning, organizing, and conducting training and maintaining required training documentation and certifications.Assist with EHS program implementation, accident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, incident reporting, and efforts to reduce and improve incident rates.Identify and evaluate workplace hazards through routine audits and daily rounds, and provide guidance to employees, visitors, and contractors regarding safety and compliance requirements.Coordinate and document regulatory and safety inspections, including fire extinguishers, eyewash and shower stations, egress and exit signs, hazardous materials, environmental programs, and other required audits.Support site safety awareness and incentive programs, sustainability and utility reduction projects, environmental compliance reporting and sampling, and Safety Committee activities.Qualifications:Associate degree or equivalent required.A minimum of one year of EHS experience is preferred; experience in food manufacturing, food processing, or the food industry is also preferred.Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem-solving, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.Knowledge of training methodologies and curriculum development, with effective communication, critical thinking, time management, team-building, and motivational skills.Computer proficiency, including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, web-based systems, and visual-aid technology.Perks & Benefits:Onsite position in Waukesha, Wisconsin.Medical, prescription, dental, and vision coverage beginning on the first day for eligible employees.Profit sharing and 401(k) matching after eligibility criteria are met.Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays.Employee appreciation events, employee assistance programs, and career growth opportunities.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:The role requires sufficient physical strength and dexterity to perform required tasks, which may include intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds or more with assistance may be required. Typical shifts are 8–12 hours per day, with additional unscheduled time after hours or on weekends potentially required. Employees must be willing and able to wear required personal protective equipment.
