Pay Rate: $1,000 - $1,345/Week (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Sterile Processing Technician to support sterile processing operations in a high-volume Level I Trauma Center.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Services Technician.

• Level I Trauma Center experience required.

• Experience in a high-volume surgical environment strongly preferred.

• CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification required and must be in hand at submission.

• Strong knowledge of sterile processing procedures and infection-control standards.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, disinfect, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment.

• Prepare surgical trays and instrumentation according to department and surgical-service requirements.

• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, damage, and proper operation.

• Operate sterilization and high-level disinfection equipment according to established guidelines.

• Monitor and document sterilization processes and quality-control measures.

• Maintain accurate records throughout the sterile processing cycle.

• Store and handle sterile instruments and supplies appropriately.

• Respond to operating-room requests and prioritize urgent instrumentation needs.

• Collaborate with surgical staff, operating-room personnel, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Maintain appropriate inventory of instruments, supplies, and equipment.

• Follow OSHA, infection-control, safety, and hospital policies.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sterile processing environment.
