About the Position

Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant in Edison, NJ. You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness in an outpatient setting, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. This opportunity uses WebPT as the EMR. Please review the requirements and assignment details below before applying.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active New Jersey PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Outpatient (OP) experience required.
• Experience using WebPT preferred.
• Willingness to work across two clinic locations approximately 15 minutes apart. Minimal floating between sites on the same day.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population, including patients who may use Hindi or translation tools for communication.
• If providing services at the Piscataway location, ability to coordinate care with an attached adult day care is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience treating a large South Asian or multilingual patient population.
• Familiarity with clinic workflows split between multiple sites.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday. Clinic open 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
• Shift Days: M-F.
• Role split between two locations approximately 15 minutes apart, with full days scheduled at each location.
• Minimal floating between sites on the same day.
• EMR: WebPT.

Impacting Patient Care

Work as a PTA traveler in a busy outpatient environment delivering direct patient care, assisting with therapeutic interventions designed by the supervising Physical Therapist. You will support functional restoration, patient education, and progress documentation to improve patient outcomes across two community-based clinic locations.
