Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Description: Please ensure traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position with Ochsner Health, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur. You should not apply for a role at Ochsner Health if you are not comfortable with the above.

Unit Highlights:

• First-time travelers welcome
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Epic experience required
• Float requirement
• Weekend Coverage - Every other
• Patient Population: Hematology, Medical Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), Gynecologic & Surgical Oncology

Unit Details:

• 7-bed positive pressure wing for BMT and acute leukemia patients
• Bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Equipment: Alaris IV pumps (Epic-integrated), Barcode medication administration, SCD machines, Alaris feeding pumps
• Certifications: Required: BLS, ACLS; Preferred: ONS

Special Procedures/Unit Details:

• Chemotherapy infusion
• Bone Marrow Transplant
• Med/Surg experience required
