Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Proficient in IV start, experience with telemetry, competency with ventilators Description: The position involves caring for critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment. The typical patient ratio is 1:1-2. Experience with the EPIC documentation system is required. Candidates should be skilled in venous access, arterial line management, and care of ventilated patients. Competency in managing cardiac drips and vasoactive drips is also required. The role includes monitoring patients for signs of deterioration and implementing emergency procedures as necessary. Additional patient care responsibilities include phlebotomy, obtaining EKGs, and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient recovery and care planning. The ability to float to different units may be required.
