Product Director, Data Production

We're looking for a senior, technically fluent Product Director to lead our Data Production division, the team responsible for the integrations, tools, and workflows that transform a wide range of restaurant operational data into the best in the industry. This team leverages the whole range of processing practices, including algorithmic, machine learning, LLM, and human-in-the-loop solutions to combine and analyze customer recipes and inventory, API ingestions, and even mobile phone snaps. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across a range of solutions and technical system requirements to create high quality, accurate data as effortlessly as possible. As Product Director of the Data Production Division, you’ll need analytical rigor and sufficient technical depth to oversee complex considerations like data lineage, pricing calculations, and API architecture, paired with the product management experience to understand how to transform ambiguous operational problems into a clear, prioritized backlog, with intuitive customer-facing interfaces to support successful and sustainable management. This role is a supervisory role overseeing the Product Management Team, and reports directly to the Chief Product Officer. What type of responsibilities will I have? Own the Data Production Value Chain Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Data Production Division, with the primary objective of generating the highest quality data in MarginEdge from wide range of sources; Lead the full data production chain across all inbound data sources, including invoice ingestion, recipe ingestion, inventory taking, and vendor integrations; Expand customer‑facing tools and capabilities to support effective inventory taking, recipe creation, and ingredient mapping, so customers can effortlessly manage inputs and updates to their inventory system; Own the integrations roadmap, and drive new thinking on how best to technically connect to, and process, multi‑source data; Collaborate with engineering and the data platform and analytics team to define overall data architecture and principles, and help enforce compliance with these principles to ensure that all data is prepared and available for downstream systems and products. What qualifications or skills are required? Senior, mature product leader with a track record managing a multi‑team organization spanning a full production chain; Strong working knowledge of data pipelines from both customer generated and technical sources, including API integrations and data architecture; Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous, high‑risk operational problems into a prioritized, well‑scoped Product backlog; Comfort with an evolving SDLC, including the incorporation of new technologies and methodologies for Product Management, in alignment with changing AI development processes and technologies; A strong understanding and point of view on how to incorporate prioritized data processing workflow approaches, from deterministic to AI/LLM‑based automation into production data workflows. Nice To Haves Prior experience supply chain and back of house technologies; Experience with POS, accounting or vendor/EDI integrations; Experience shipping AI‑assisted data workflows (e.g., AI‑assisted mapping or enrichment); Experience at a venture‑backed startup or growth‑stage company; Experience working in or around restaurants or hospitality (with a love of great food). Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this role is $180,000–$210,000 annually. Where a candidate falls within that range depends on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
