Job Purpose:
Assists and works closely with Fabrication Manager and quality personnel. Maintain and follow proper compliance and quality systems requirements. Work safely and perform quality work. Assemble and inspect both visually and functionality of product or product parts.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience.
• Troubleshooting and soldering experience (following blueprints or assembly specifications, soldering, gluing, combine or fabricate.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels.
• Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to handle multiple tasks with ease and professionalism.
• Experience in an engineering development organization.
• Fast, self-directed learner.
• Must be a U.S. Person
• Ability to qualify for a U.S. government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of antenna testing equipment.
• Experience with a variety of current manufacturing processes.

Essential Functions:

• Performs simple, short-cycle assembly of light materials and parts, including routine assembly and modification.
• Operations are typically highly repetitive straight-line bench work. Works from noncomplex drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, sketches, and running sheets, performs initial and basic writing and assembly operations on chassis, panels, and assemblies, to complete prototype and productions units.
• Works to close tolerances.
• Uses judgment in reworking or rewiring as necessary to meet quality specifications. Refers complex or non-routine reworking or rewiring to supervisor or lead assembler.
• Troubleshoots production if necessary.
• Responsible for quality control.
• Adjusts a necessary to produce product within specifications.
• Rejects product outside of specifications.
• Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs). Completes daily production logs.
• Performs preventive maintenance (PMs) when necessary.
• Communicates with operators from other shifts.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Other duties as assigned. Quality Control is an important part of a general assembler’s job.
• As items come through the production line, they need to be checked before being assembled with other pieces.
• Maintains clean work area.
• And other duties assigned by your supervisor to assist the JEM team.
• Carry out activities oriented in compliance with the established quality management system.
• All employees are responsible for prioritizing customer needs and ensuring customer requirements are met. Customer satisfaction shall be a priority.
