RN Long Term Care (LTC)

Shift & Compensation Work Shift: 12 Hours - Day Shift (6:30 AM to 6:30 PM). Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36. Compensation: Salary Range: $32.00 - $48.00 per hour. Union Position: No. 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and every other holiday. Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Responsibilities Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge using appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in the assigned clinical setting. Provide care to residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinate care, perform resident assessment, educate residents, and perform various nursing interventions. Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within job descriptions, skill sets, resident care needs, and delegate competence level. Provide adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolve care and service concerns. Function within scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules of the state of practice and licensure. Qualifications Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred). Acceptable accrediting bodies include CCNE, ACEN, and NLN CNEA. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (preferred). Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice is occurring and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
