Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:
A Cath Lab Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including PCI, structural heart interventions, and electrophysiology studies. The role demands expertise in patient assessment, procedural support, and post-procedure care within a dynamic clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer pre- and post-procedure nursing care to cardiac cath lab patients, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique and equipment readiness.
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and response throughout procedures, adjusting care as needed.
• Document clinical activities accurately in electronic health records, including Epic or similar systems.
• Educate patients about procedures, recovery, and post-care instructions to promote understanding and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, certifications, and travel policies, including background checks and license verification.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active California RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Cath Lab RN, with proficiency in diagnostic cath labs, PCI, structural heart, and electrophysiology.
• Be BLS (AHA) and ACLS certified, with certifications in AHA in-hand at submission.
• Demonstrate experience with Epic or similar charting systems.
• Be able to work day shifts (4x10 hours) with variable start times from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM and weekend call.
• Be compliant with background policies and travel requirements, including a valid license and work history verification.
