Position Type Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Organizational Behavior/Leadership (Regular full-time) – start Fall 2027. Salary Range $182,580–202,867. Purpose The Management and Entrepreneurship Department at Santa Clara University invites applications for a full‑time tenure‑track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in Fall 2027. We seek scholars working at the frontiers of leadership and organizational behavior with complementary training and research, especially those who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. Specialty or Sub‑Discipline The Leavey School seeks candidates whose research, teaching, and service align with the needs of the department. The primary emphasis is on teaching leadership and organizational behavior courses. Secondary interests in entrepreneurship, innovation, and change management are also appreciated. Qualifications Ph.D. or equivalent from an AACSB‑accredited university in management, leadership, or a closely related field by September 1, 2027. Demonstrated ability and potential for high‑quality, peer‑reviewed scholarly research. Demonstrated excellence and potential for effective and inclusive teaching and mentoring of a diverse student population at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Responsibilities Tenure‑track faculty are expected to balance teaching, research, and service. This is an in‑person position. Research / Scholarly Work Maintain an active scholarly research program that leads to publications in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed journals. Adhere to departmental standards for scholarly work that contribute to tenure and promotion evaluations. Utilize early‑career faculty mentoring and professional development resources strongly supported by the university. Teaching Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in leadership and organizational behavior, as assigned. Design new elective courses in leadership and organizational behavior. Fulfill all academic and instructional responsibilities associated with assigned courses. SCU follows a quarter system; tenure‑stream faculty typically teach six courses per year (two per quarter), with possible course releases in the initial years. Prioritize high‑quality teaching and significant faculty‑student interaction. Engage in teaching development support provided through university faculty development programs, workshops, grants, and mentoring. Evaluate teaching following departmental standards and Ignatian pedagogical principles, emphasizing respectful, inclusive, engaging, and evidence‑based instruction. Service Provide suitable and effective service to the department, Leavey School, the university, the profession, and/or community through committee work, leadership, professional engagement, and other contributions appropriate for the rank.
