Dialysis RN

Note - Travel Experience Required Job Summary The Dialysis Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. This role includes monitoring patient health, administering treatments, and educating patients and their families about dialysis options and kidney disease management. Key Responsibilities Check and record patients’ vital signs before, during, and after dialysis treatments. Ensure that hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments are administered correctly. Monitor patients during treatment to identify any adverse reactions and respond promptly. Prepare and update individualized nursing care plans. Notify the appropriate medical practitioner of any issues that arise during dialysis treatments. Collaborate with dialysis technicians to ensure that dialysis machines and equipment are set up properly. Educate patients and their family members on operating home dialysis machines if home therapy is chosen. Provide information on dialysis treatment options, kidney disease management, and suitable nutrition and exercise regimens. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing. Proven experience as a dialysis nurse. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is advantageous. Skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and observational skills.
