Content Writer

The Content Writer is responsible for planning, creating, proofreading, and editing product descriptions and attributes for the website. Utilizing internal brand guidelines, product information, and research, this role creates clear, compelling, and on-brand product content that helps customers understand products and supports conversion. This role works cross-functionally with the Creative, Merchandising, and Receiving Teams to ensure product information and copy are accurate, consistent, optimized for search, and published on time.Schedule: The role follows a hybrid schedule based out of our Chico office, working onsite Tuesday through Thursday during standard business hours (approximately 9:00 AM–5:00 PM), with Monday and Friday remote.What You’ll DoCreate accurate, on-brand, and compelling product descriptions and attributes for online site content that highlight product features and benefits and support customer purchase decisionsResearch, create, and edit new, on-brand product copy that is consistent with the Lulus voiceProofread and QA product descriptions and attributes to ensure accuracy, consistency, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and overall qualityOptimize copy for search engine visibility, including incorporating relevant keywords and metadata to improve search rankings and drive organic trafficWork with cross-functional partners and collaborate with the Creative Operations team to facilitate the product onboarding processEnhance existing product copy based on customer insights, performance data, and established content best practices to support conversionManage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines effectively to meet deliverables and project timelines and maintaining a high level of qualityOther copy-related projects, clean-ups, and audits as neededWhat You’ll Need1 - 2 years of experience professional writing, content creation, copywriting, or related experienceKnowledge of fashion terminology, trends, fabrics, and brandsStrong writing skills with the ability to produce concise, compelling, and inspirational product copy for our customersExceptional proofreading and editing skills, with a strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and attention to detailCreative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts that align with brand objectives and customer preferencesExcellent organization and prioritization skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong editorial judgment and the ability to adapt writing style and messaging based on product, audience, and channelWorks well under pressure, with the ability to meet multiple, sometimes competing deadlinesAbility to take initiative in troubleshooting issues as they arise and apply logical thinking to a wide range of practical problemsProficiency with standard business and digital content tools, with the ability to learn and navigate content management systems and other role-specific platformsNice to Have - Bonus Points!College degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Advertising, Communication, Fashion, or a related fieldA passion for the Lulus brandExperience in retail or e-commerceBasic knowledge of SEO principles, keyword optimization, and digital content best practicesWe’re ready to meet you!
