Residential Estimator – Lead Residential Blueprint Takeoffs and Project Material Costing

The Opportunity

You will serve as a foundational technical expert within our logistics and operations department, directly transforming construction blueprints into accurate material realities. This role empowers you to drive regional residential projects forward by building the precise quotes that our contractor and retail clients rely on. Your attention to detail will directly influence the growth and precision of a trusted, family-owned business.

How You Will Make an Impact

Review customer-provided architectural plans and blueprints to understand unique residential project requirements.
Perform highly accurate material takeoffs for lumber, hardware, flooring, and other building supplies.
Build comprehensive and structured material lists tailored to the specific products our company supplies.
Input takeoff data into the company ERP system to efficiently generate professional customer quotes.
Collaborate with the broader logistics and operations team to ensure pricing and product availability align with quotes.
Maintain an organized digital archive of project plans and specification documents for seamless future reference.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Proven ability to read, interpret, and accurately analyze construction plans and blueprints.
Strong mathematical and reasoning skills required to calculate precise material volumes and dimensions.
High School Diploma or GED.
High proficiency in data entry and operating software-based inventory or quoting systems.
Demonstrated reliability, strong organization habits, and an exceptional eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience performing quantity takeoffs within the building materials or construction industry.
Prior experience utilizing specialized material estimation or enterprise resource planning software.
Deep familiarity with residential building materials, including lumber grades and framing components.
