Key Responsibilities of the RN - Internal Float Pool

• Provide high-quality nursing care across MedSurg, PCU, ICU, and Telemetry units as needed
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and critically ill patients when assigned to ICU or telemetry settings
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Adapt quickly to different units, workflows, and patient populations

Requirements of the RN - Internal Float Pool

• Active RN license in Kansas (or compact state license if applicable)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
• Previous experience in MedSurg, PCU, ICU, and Telemetry strongly preferred
• Strong adaptability, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and changing clinical environments
