$48–$52/hr Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Pediatric Acute Care

Alliance Staffing Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT) for an acute-care pediatric assignment. We are looking for a clinically strong respiratory therapist with recent pediatric hospital experience who is comfortable working with high-acuity patients and multidisciplinary care teams.

Position Requirements

• 2+ years of acute pediatric respiratory therapy experience required
• 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience in an ICU setting preferred
• 1+ year of Epic EMR experience required
• Active and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license as required by the state of assignment
• Current BLS certification
• Additional certifications such as PALS and/or ACLS may be required based on facility requirements
• Ability to provide respiratory care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced acute-care environment
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills
• Must meet all facility credentialing, health, background, and compliance requirements prior to assignment

Key Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care to pediatric patients in accordance with facility protocols, provider orders, and professional standards of practice. Responsibilities may include:

• Perform respiratory assessments and monitor pediatric patients
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and respiratory treatments
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation and other respiratory support equipment
• Assist with airway management and emergency respiratory interventions
• Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate significant clinical changes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, interventions, and patient responses in Epic
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and facility-specific clinical protocols
• Respond appropriately to rapidly changing or critical patient conditions

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has a strong acute pediatric background, experience caring for critically ill patients, and the ability to transition quickly into a hospital environment. Pediatric ICU or other high-acuity respiratory therapy experience is strongly preferred.
