Join Barrow Wise Consulting, LLC today.Responsibilities:The Test Engineer will support Barrow Wise's FEMA project and perform the following duties:Coordinate and schedule testing in the associated test environment based on the identified and approved scheduleDevelop test plans to ensure that the testing approach sufficiently addresses software features and to verify that the test process achieves an appropriate level of test coverage, that test results are verified, that the correct code configuration has been tested, and that the tests are appropriately documentedDevelop intricate manual test cases to include step-by-step procedures for testing objectivesProvide timely, accurate feedback to the customer. Foster an open, communicative partnership with the development team, eliminating any adversarial relationships, jointly focusing on the customers' needs, and recommending improvements as identifiedParticipate in customer and developer meetings in support of testing of software applicationsResearch and recommend new tools for implementation within the OCTO Engineering Division as new requirements are identified to replace or complement current processes/toolsetsPerform testing, including non-functional testing (performance, stress, load, application program interface (API) testingFollow DHS and FEMA Software Development Lifecycle and System Engineering Lifecycle guidelines as recommended by the projectConduct functional testing based on the approved testing methodology and schedule utilizing or developing test scripts and/or test casesConduct testing based on the approved schedule, creating performance test models, and utilizing/developing performance test scriptsCreate and maintain a library of test scripts for manual and automation tests for application testingMonitor user acceptance testing and review testing results as an acceptable level of verificationAn ideal candidate has the following:U.S. CitizenshipMinimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related fieldFive (5) or more years of experience with one or more methodologies testing systems developed using Agile, Agile-Hybrid, DevSecOps, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Rapid Application Development, and Test-Driven Development methodologiesPreferred: Relevant advanced certificationJoin the team at Barrow Wise Consulting, LLC, for a fulfilling and engaging experience!
