Area Mechanic - Mechanical, Walt Disney WorldThe Area Mech Mechanical is responsible for routine and corrective maintenance in a variety of aspects within the mechanical trade at Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, repair and replace batteries, bearings, wheels and tires, chains, gearboxes, engines, hydraulic pumps, and seat or seat cushionsTroubleshoot, maintain or repair speed-ramps and conveyorsTrack repairs or work using company databaseCast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and suppliesAdditional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be requiredBasic Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years oldValid Florida driver's licenseThree years' minimum experience working on small engines and automotive electronicsExperience performing regularly scheduled maintenance on various tractors, backhoes, loaders and golf carts or lawn equipment; Club Car, Cushman, Yamaha, Noland, Mitsubishi, Daihatsu, Gem Car and Taylor DunnKnowledge of light metal fabrication, hydraulic and pneumatic controlsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsExcellent written and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devicesPreferred Qualifications:Four years' or more experience in a commercial setting or industry where mechanical or millwright work was performedAdditional Information:At Walt Disney World, we are makers and doers!
