Job Summary Special Education Teacher (Kenosha, WI, 2026-27 School Year)
- Location: Kenosha, WI (lakefront community)
- Position: Special Education Teacher
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, school year from 8/24/26 to 6/7/27
- Work Hours: Students have half-day Fridays; Friday afternoons reserved for planning and paperwork
- Caseload/Age Group: To be determined; multiple roles available (early applicants get more choices)
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's in Education with Special Education Certification
- Certification: Wisconsin DPI (Department of Public Instruction) license required for appropriate grade level (Early Childhood-Middle or Middle-Early Adolescence)
- Experience: Previous special education experience preferred
- Licensure Process:
- Apply through Wisconsin DPI if not currently licensed
- May need to fulfill Wisconsin-specific statutory requirements/training
- May require content/testing exams or evaluation of out-of-state credentials
