Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - CVORT

American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist with cardiovascular surgery experience for a hospital operating room position requiring ACLS, BLS, and Epic experience.

Hospital CVOR unit with float requirements to General OR and among five designated facility locations based on staffing needs

13-week assignment on day shift (3x12 hours, 6:30am-7:00pm)

On-call responsibilities as per department needs with a 30-minute response time

Utilizes Epic EMR system

Performs cardiovascular, vascular, gynecological, and general surgery cases including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, EVAR, and laparoscopic procedures

Minimum of 2-3 years of recent specialty experience within the last 12 months

Prior travel experience required

ACLS and BLS certifications required

Epic EMR experience required

License required if applicable

Active state license and certifications must be in hand at time of consideration; pending credentials not accepted

BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date

Ability to scrub within the CVOR specialty

Experience with aseptic technique, isolation precautions/PPE, sharps safety, specimen handling, and Universal Protocol time-out procedures

Trauma Level I or II and teaching hospital experience preferred

Cardiothoracic robotic surgery experience preferred

Assist with a range of vascular, cardiovascular, gynecological, and general surgical procedures

Maintain sterile fields and support surgical teams using electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and crash cart equipment

Adhere to fire safety and emergency management protocols

Must be clean shaven to accommodate respirator fit testing prior to working on the unit

Complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Orientation modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty

RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after are not accepted, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of assignment

Block scheduling is not permitted

First-time travelers will not be considered for this role

COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no exemptions

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to local pay rates
