We seek candidates who will hold a Ph.D. in the biological sciences and preferentially post-doctoral experience. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an active research program with original scholarship and to demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring of undergraduate students. The successful candidate should be able to teach General Biology for biology majors, as well as one or more upper-level courses in their area of expertise, which may include Physiology, Developmental Biology, or Genetics and Genomics. The department has outstanding teaching and research facilities including a vivarium, a microscopy and bioimaging suite, a cell culture room, a new spinning disc confocal microscope, autoclave, freezers, common use molecular equipment, and dedicated wet labs for student/faculty research.
