Here is some of what you can expect from being a Medical Assistant with us:

• You will be responsible for assessing the needs of patients and must be able to distinguish between emergency and non-emergency situations and prioritize accordingly.
• You will document all activities in the medical record neatly and appropriately.
• You will maintain medical equipment and supplies for the clinic, and a professional and workable relationship with providers.
• You will screen and contact potential new patients for collecting and documenting information in the office database.
• You will manage the front desk serving as a receptionist welcoming patients and family members in a professional manner, registering patients, verifying insurance, answering phones, scheduling diagnostic studies and other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Nurse Practitioner.

Qualifications you will need for this role:

PRN hours: - Monday - Thursday - 8 am - 5 pm / No weekends

• MA Certified- CCMA, CMA, NCMA
• AHA or ARC BLS is required.
• Previous ambulatory services/clinic experience desirable.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and patient teaching methods for all ages.
